Over the decades, the demographics and healthcare needs of the local community have evolved.  In 2015, Attadale changed its focus to rehabilitation to cater for the community’s changing needs and at midnight on 31 July closed its maternity and surgical services.  From 1 August 2015, Attadale Private Hospital began a new era as Attadale Rehabilitation Hospital, the only fully serviced stand-alone private rehabilitation facility south of the river.
