This Christmas Tree is Thuja occidentalis ‘Smaragd’ - This evergreen conifer is a compact, dense, self forming shrub with ‘soft to touch’ green foliage. It is a slow grower like most conifers are, growing to around 3mts in a tear drop type shape and requires little or no maintenance.

‘Smaragd’ can be used as a Hedge / Screen, in large containers or as a beautiful garden specimen. It requires full sun or part shade and likes well drained soil. Will take dry periods once established and doesn’t mind the cold. In colder districts the foliage can turn to a bronze colour for the winter adding more interest.
